Why do the angels curse a wife until morning if her husband goes to bed angry with her, while the husband is sinful only if he makes her angry or mistreats her?

God's rulings are based on mercy, wisdom, and justice, and a believer must trust that his happiness lies in submitting to God's law. The Sharia (definition) did not diminish women's rights by assigning guardianship to men; rather, it equated them in rights, in accordance with His, the Almighty's, saying: {And due to them [wives] is similar to what is due from them [husbands] in a just manner, but the men have a degree over them.} The Sharia's emphasis on a woman refraining from her husband's bed is due to the difference in a man's need for intercourse compared to a woman's. If the husband is unjust, the woman is not blamed for abandoning him.
