The answer

It is permissible to take a bath daily for cleanliness. The recommended baths are on Friday, the Day of Arafah, the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr), and the Day of Eid al-Fitr. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also took a bath upon recovering from unconsciousness, for assuming , and for entering Mecca. The recommended baths for Hajj are: the bath for ihram, for entering Mecca, and for standing at Arafah. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah stated that baths other than these, such as bathing for stoning the , circumambulating (), and spending the night in Muzdalifah, have no basis and are an innovation, unless there is a reason necessitating the recommendation, such as removing an odor that would bother people.
