What is the ruling on purchasing sacrificial animals from shops and markets that slaughter them and identify the name of the owner of the sacrifice, but where mixing of the sacrificial animals may occur after slaughter?

Firstly, it is permissible to purchase the sacrificial animal (Udhiyah (definition)) by authorizing shops and organizations to buy and slaughter it on behalf of its owner. This is a permissible agency, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, authorized Ali to slaughter his sacrificial offering (hady).

Secondly, if the sacrificial animals become mixed up and you receive an Udhiyah that is not yours, there is no harm in that, due to the difficulty of distinguishing them when there are many sacrificial animals, and because there is no intention of exchange. If two people mistakenly offer the sacrifice of the other, it suffices for both of them.
