What is the ruling of Islamic law on buying goods and then reselling them with the intention of raising prices, especially what is known as "al-Sabibiyah" in selling sheep before Eid al-Adha?

There is no religious impediment for a Muslim to buy from the market and sell in it or elsewhere, as long as the transaction does not involve usury, lying, deception, Najash (deceptive bidding), or Gharar (definition) (excessive uncertainty). The basic principle regarding transactions is permissibility. Allah has made selling lawful, and when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about the best earning, he said: "A man's work with his own hand, and every legitimate sale." Therefore, it is permissible to buy sheep or other animals and sell them for profit, while avoiding exploitation, monopolization, and unfair dealing.
