How are millions of dollars distributed among family members — who are unrelated to the deceased women — is it [distributed] with the male receiving the equivalent of the share of two females?

If the deceased have absolutely no relatives, their wealth is to be placed in the public welfare interests of Muslims, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "I am the heir of whoever has no heir." However, if they have distant relatives, such as 'asabah (agnates, like paternal cousins), then the closest male relatives inherit all the wealth. If their relatives are from the ذوي الأرحام (relatives through the mother or distant relatives) and there are no 'asabah, then the wealth is divided among them according to the methodology of Ahl al-Tanzil, by placing them in the position of those through whom they are related to the deceased. In all cases, the division of the inheritance is referred to the Sharia (definition) courts or the people of knowledge in the country.
