How can one optimally deal with a 26-year-old brother who does not pray, has been at odds with his father for 7 years, has not visited the family home in Riyadh since then, is an unemployed engineer, and there is fear for him regarding the misfortunes of time?
Your brother has combined two great sins: abandoning prayer, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The covenant between us and them is prayer; whoever abandons it has disbelieved." And disobeying parents by cutting off visits to his father for seven years, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about the major sins and he said: "Associating partners with Allah and disobeying parents." He must hasten to repent. We do not advise expelling him from the house; rather, it is obligatory to advise him with kind words and not despair, because expelling him might increase his disobedience and distance from Allah.
