Is helping needy family members by purchasing necessities and secondary items considered charity and a good deed for which one can supplicate for the purpose of marriage?

Helping needy parents is a charity for which you will be rewarded. It is both a charity and the maintaining of kinship ties, as stated in the Hadith (definition): "Charity given to the poor is charity, and charity given to a relative is two-fold: charity and maintaining kinship ties." It is permissible for a woman to seek help from her relatives and friends in finding a righteous husband, and there is no harm in her offering herself in marriage to a righteous man she wishes to marry.
