The answer

A woman is not permitted to travel without a , whether it is a journey for worship or a permissible one. This is indicated by prophetic hadiths that prohibit a woman from traveling without a mahram. Travel is a source of fatigue and hardship, and it is a temptation. Scholars have agreed on prohibiting a woman's travel without a mahram, except in exceptional cases, such as a disbelieving woman who embraced Islam in a land of war, or a freed captive woman, or a woman who became separated from her companions and was found by a trustworthy man. It is not sufficient to merely drop her off at the airport and have someone else pick her up; rather, the mahram must accompany her throughout the entire journey. A wife must obey her husband in matters that are obedient to Allah, and the husband must explain the religious ruling to her gently and kindly.
