Why don't the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah mention the family of the Prophet (Ahlul Bayt) - may Allah be pleased with them - in detail to their children?

The Ahl al-Sunnah (definition) are the most knowledgeable and most حافظ (preservers) of the rights of the Prophet's household (Ahl al-Bayt). This is a principle agreed upon in books of creed, jurisprudence, and Hadith (definition), such as Sahih (definition) al-Bukhari, which includes a section on the virtues of Ahl al-Bayt. Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, in "Al-Aqidah Al-Wasitiyyah," emphasizes love for the Ahl al-Bayt and loyalty to them, citing prophetic traditions that recommend them. The Ahl al-Sunnah do not exclude the Mothers of the Believers, nor the family of Al-Abbas, nor the family of Al-Aqil from the Ahl al-Bayt. They venerate all of the Ahl al-Bayt and everyone possessing virtue and honor.

One should not be deceived by the claims of the people of innovation who disparage some of the Ahl al-Bayt and exaggerate about others, while the Ahl al-Sunnah are a middle nation, without excess or negligence. The questioner should refer to specialized books such as "The Virtue of the Ahl al-Bayt and their Lofty Status According to the Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah" by Shaykh Abd al-Muhsin al-Abbad. Any shortcoming of some individuals among the Ahl al-Sunnah in teaching their children the status of the Ahl al-Bayt should not be attributed to the methodology itself.
