How can a student of Hadith begin their studies, especially if they are well-versed in Aqeedah and inclined towards the sciences of Hadith?

The methodology for seeking knowledge in Hadith (definition) sciences can be summarized in the following points:

Firstly: Memorizing the texts (matn) of the Prophetic Sunnah (definition), starting with what is agreed upon (muttafaq alayh), then what Al-Bukhari reported exclusively, then Muslim, then the additional narrations (zawa'id) from the Six Books and the Musnads, with repeated recitation of what has been memorized. If memorization is difficult, then by frequent reading.

Secondly: Memorizing the chains of narration (asanid) and the biographies of narrators (tarajim al-ruwah), focusing on the primary chains through which hundreds of hadiths are narrated, then the less famous chains that have issues (ishkalat), and finally the chains of fabricated (mawdu'ah) and weak (da'ifah) hadiths.

Thirdly: Explaining the texts and understanding their uncommon words (gharib), starting with concise explanations, and focusing on the meaning of the hadith and the explanation of its individual words.

Fourthly: Paying attention to books on "Hadith Terminology" (mustalah al-hadith), especially "Tahrir Ulum al-Hadith" by Abdullah al-Juday', or for beginners, "Nuzhat al-Nazar Sharh Nukhbat al-Fikar."

Fifthly: Reading books on "defects" (ilal) and "authentication and attribution" (takhrij) for practical application, and contemporary studies for specialists in Hadith, while emphasizing the fear of Allah (taqwa (definition)), sincerity of intention, and purity of heart.
