The answer

Shaykh al-Albani made efforts in serving the books of and distinguishing the authentic from the inauthentic, including his service to the four Sunans, and his compilation of the verbal hadiths in " al-Jami' al-Saghir." Before studying the two Sahihs and the Sunans, it is recommended to study "Riyadh as-Salihin" and "Al-Adhkar" by An-Nawawi, "Umdat al-Ahkam" by Al-Maqdisi, and "Bulugh al-Maram" by Ibn Hajar. One should not abbreviate the salutation upon the Prophet, peace be upon him, with the letter (ص).
