Is Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen’s description, may Allah have mercy on him, of those who adhere to the Sunnah of the single Adhan on Friday as “pedants” accurate, and which of the two is in accordance with the Sunnah: one Adhan or two?
The first on Friday is a good established by Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) when the population increased and people's homes became distant. The Companions approved it, making it a tacit consensus. It falls under the Sunnah of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, which the Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded us to follow.
