Is the worshiper's saying, "We hear and obey. Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return," before the opening Takbir an innovation?

Persevering in a specific supplication and believing in its legitimacy is an innovation (bid‘ah), as this was not reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Whoever does a deed that is not in accordance with our matter, it will be rejected." Therefore, the brother should be gently advised and informed that adhering to what has been authentically reported from the Prophet is sufficient and renders other things unnecessary, and that all good lies in following (the Sunnah (definition)) and all evil in innovation (bid‘ah).
