The terms of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah are:

1. A cessation of hostilities for ten years.

2. Anyone who comes to the Prophet without the permission of their guardian shall be returned, but anyone who comes to Quraysh from among those who were with the Prophet shall not be returned.

3. That there shall be between them a concealed enmity (no treachery or betrayal).

4. No theft or betrayal.

5. Whoever wishes to enter into the covenant of Muhammad or Quraysh may do so.

6. That the Prophet shall return from Mecca that year.

7. That Quraysh shall vacate the sanctuary the following year for the Prophet and his companions to perform '.

8. They shall not enter Mecca except with the weapon of a rider (swords in their sheaths).

9. No one from the people of Mecca shall be allowed to leave if they wish to follow him.

10. No one from his companions shall be prevented if they wish to remain in Mecca.
