Allah has created mankind with an inclination towards interaction between males and females. Whoever deviates from this has departed from the sound natural disposition upon which Allah created people, as stated in the Holy Quran and the Prophet's . The texts indicate that whoever deviates from this natural disposition does so either due to their own actions and following the footsteps of Satan, or due to corrupt environmental influences. Sodomy is a grave evil, second only to disbelief in its repulsiveness, and perhaps even greater than murder. No people preceded the people of Lut in committing this act.

To overcome this reprehensible behavior, one must promptly engage in sincere repentance and cease the disobedience, occupy one's time with obedience to Allah and His remembrance, associate with righteous people, and avoid evil companions. Furthermore, all pathways leading to indecency must be blocked by lowering the gaze. Marriage is a successful means of treating sexual problems. Finally, one should frequently supplicate and seek refuge in Allah Almighty, and remember the grave and the Day of Judgment.
