Are the sermons of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, such as the sermon of Ghadir Khumm, considered prophetic hadiths?

Everything the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, including sermons and other pronouncements, is considered among the Prophetic Hadiths. This is because a Prophetic Hadith (definition) is everything attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, whether it be a saying, an action, an approval, or a physical or moral description. This is called a Marfu‘ Hadith. The sermon he, peace and blessings be upon him, delivered at Ghadir Khumm is authentic and has been transmitted to us by the scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah (definition), and there is nothing in it that provides any basis for the people of innovation.
