How can the earth split open for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while he is on top of it?

The aforementioned Hadith (definition) is authentic, and the meaning of "the earth will split open for him, peace and blessings be upon him" is his emergence from his grave at the Resurrection on the Day of Judgment, as stated in Surat Qaf: "The Day the earth will split open from them, hastening. That is a gathering easy for Us." And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, will be the first for whom his grave will split open and from which he will emerge.
