The Noble Qur’an was revealed by Jibreel (peace be upon him) from Allah, the Almighty and Majestic. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) received it from Jibreel, and then the Companions received it from him. Thus, Muslims have transmitted it generation after generation, preserved in their hearts and written in the mushafs, until it reached us through continuous transmission (mutawatir), fulfilling the words of Allah Almighty: "Indeed, We have sent down the Dhikr (the Qur’an) and indeed, We will be its Guardian."
