Is there any mention of masturbation in the Sunnah of the Prophet?

The term "masturbation" (al-ʿādah al-sirriyyah) is a contemporary term, referring to masturbation by hand, which is the jurisprudential term for this habit. There is no authentic hadith (definition) in which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned this forbidden habit. What is narrated, such as "May Allah curse him who marries his hand," is a hadith that is not authentic and may even be fabricated. Similarly, there is no basis for other narrations in this regard, such as "Indeed, a people will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment with their hands pregnant." Nevertheless, there is no doubt about the prohibition of masturbation.
