The scholars have determined that the Prophetic injunctions attributed to Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) are null and fabricated, and were not issued by the Prophet (peace be upon him). Their weakness and poor composition are evident from their context and style. Al-Shawkani indicated that these injunctions are fabricated, with the exception of the "You are to me as Aaron was to Moses," which is an authentic hadith. Some narrators, such as Hammad ibn Amr and Abdullah ibn Ziyad, have been accused of fabricating these injunctions.
