What is the ruling on one who requests that prayers be sent upon the Prophet (peace be upon him) with the intention of dedicating them to him, and specifies a number of prayers and sending the message to nine people along with a specific text?

There is no harm in calling for an increase in prayers upon the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him; rather, it is cooperation in righteousness and piety, and it contains a reminder of good. Increasing prayers upon him suffices one's worries and forgives sins, as stated in the hadith (definition) of Ubayy ibn Ka'b: "Then your worries will be sufficed, and your sins will be forgiven." However, one must avoid phrases similar to the dhikr of people of innovation and desires, such as "and hasten their relief [faraj]."
