If doubt arises after the completion of an act of worship, it has no effect. However, if doubt occurs during the second (salutation) as to whether it was performed correctly, then the worshipper has already exited the prayer with the first obligatory taslim, and the second taslim is supererogatory. Therefore, he is not required to return to perform the salutation.
