Will a servant be rewarded for acts of worship in which he finds pleasure, despite his soul's weakness and occasional reluctance towards them?

The human soul experiences periods of strength and weakness in worship. Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, for every deed there is a peak, and for every peak there is a decline. So whoever's decline is in accordance with my Sunnah (definition), he is guided, and whoever's decline is otherwise, he is destroyed." Thus, if the period of weakness in action involves maintaining the obligatory duties, then it is good. As for complete cessation, it is dangerous. During the period of weakness, the servant is given the reward for performing worship and the reward for striving against his soul. Therefore, a Muslim must strive against his soul during this period by reducing the action, not abandoning it entirely, until his energy returns.
