Why does going to a soothsayer not affect the lawfulness of money?

The money earned from work is permissible as long as the trust of the work is fulfilled. Going to a soothsayer, even though it is an abomination, does not affect the permissibility of the wages due by fulfilling the terms of the contract. All wealth that Allah has given to His servants is permissible until a right becomes attached to it.
