Is it permissible to donate the salary of an employee who left work without notification and did not claim it for three years?

It is not permissible to give money in charity if the owner can be reached. However, if it is impossible to reach him, then it is permissible to give it in charity on his behalf, and the one who gives charity is considered a representative of the owner of the money.
