There is no sin upon one who is overcome by sleep and misses prayer after taking measures to help him wake up, but he must make up the prayer as soon as he wakes. However, one who is negligent in waking up is considered sinful.
Voluntary deeds and supplications are not invalidated by this, and it is not permissible to abandon them, as they compensate for shortcomings.
