Is it permissible to accept a gift from money obtained through sorcery, and is it permissible to distribute it to the poor and needy?

It is forbidden to seek the help of charlatans in extracting treasures because their work is based on polytheism (shirk (definition)). Islamic law has warned against going to soothsayers and diviners, for whoever goes to them, their prayer will not be accepted for forty nights, and whoever believes them has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad. Despite the prohibition of seeking the help of charlatans, the treasure extracted by this method is not forbidden to the one who finds it, and it is permissible to benefit from it.
