Is persistent adherence to the two rak'ahs of Duha considered an innovation? Thank you.

Regularly performing the Duha prayer is not an innovation (bid'ah); rather, it is a virtuous and recommended act. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, encouraged it and was consistent in performing it, as stated in his advice to Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him: "My beloved (the Prophet) advised me to observe three things, which I shall not abandon until I die: fasting three days every month, performing the Duha prayer, and sleeping after observing Witr (prayer)." This hadith (definition) indicates the desirability of the Duha prayer and that its minimum is two rak'ahs.
