Is studying electronic engineering forbidden (haram), knowing that my inclinations are purely scientific and that I have performed Salatul-Istikhara (prayer for guidance)?

God has equated men and women in the essence of creation, honor, accountability, judgment, and recompense. Men have a degree of guardianship and care. Women have work that suits their nature, and this is not an isolation for them, but rather a preservation of their nature. It is permissible for a woman to excel in fields where men excel, provided that this does not lead to obscuring her nature or violating her religion, and that it is within the bounds of modesty and shyness. There is no harm in a woman studying as long as she fears God, adheres to hijab (definition) and modesty, and avoids intermingling.
