If the yellowish or brownish discharge (kudra) is separate from menstruation and not connected to it, nor preceded by its pains, then it is not considered menses and does not prevent prayer or fasting. However, it is impure (najis) and invalidates ablution (wudu'). One must perform ' and purification from it, then perform wudu' for prayer. If it is connected to menstruation or preceded by its pains, then it takes the ruling of menstruation. As for taking pills to delay menstruation, it is permissible, provided it does not harm one's health.
