Is working as a security guard in a hotel permissible or forbidden?

It is permissible to work in hotel security and guarding, unless the hotel is known for immorality and violating God's prohibitions, such as drinking alcohol and committing adultery, because that involves cooperation in sin and abandoning the enjoining of good and forbidding of evil. The Permanent Committee has issued a fatwa (definition) stating that it is impermissible to work in renting rooms and furnished apartments that are used for acts of disobedience, and that the salary obtained from them is unlawful, because it is cooperation in sin and aggression.
