Working in restaurants and cafes is permissible in principle. However, it becomes impermissible to work in them if they contain elements that are forbidden to be present, such as: serving religiously forbidden items (pork, alcoholic beverages, shisha), or displaying forbidden content (movies, songs, scenes revealing awrah like in sports matches and wrestling), or allowing smoking. Accordingly, working in the cafe mentioned in the question is permissible, but allowing the viewing of matches that involve the uncovering of awrah, and allowing smoking, renders working there unlawful if the management does not prohibit these forbidden things.
