Is it permissible to allocate a portion of the obligatory Zakat on wealth to fund services for spreading religion and knowledge and printing related materials in Europe?

The expenditures of Zakat (definition) are restricted to eight categories mentioned in the Almighty’s saying: (As-Sadaqat (Zakat) are only for the poor and the needy, and those employed to collect (the funds); and to attract the hearts of those who have been inclined (towards Islam); and to free the captives; and for those in debt; and for Allah’s Cause (i.e. for Mujahidun — those fighting in Allah’s Cause), and for the wayfarer (a traveler who is cut off from everything); a duty imposed by Allah. And Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise). Zakat must be paid to these categories, and other charitable acts should be from one's private wealth, not from Zakat funds.
