Is it permissible to establish an ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) on behalf of a deceased woman and ourselves, in which non-Muslims contribute?

Perpetual charity (Sadaqah (definition) Jariyah) is based on endowments (waqf), and an endowment by a disbeliever is valid because it is not an act of worship for which being a Muslim is a prerequisite. Rather, it is permissible, even from a disbeliever, just like manumission. Jurists have differed regarding an endowment made by a Dhimmi (non-Muslim living under Islamic rule) for a mosque. The majority of scholars validate it, while the Malikis prohibit it. Therefore, there is no objection to a Christian participating in perpetual charity.
