Is it permissible for a university student in straitened circumstances to accept financial assistance from a wealthy person to cover his study expenses, knowing the difficult financial situation of his family?

If a person guarantees a beggar charity, it is permissible for him to accept it; for voluntary charity, unlike obligatory Zakat (definition), is permissible for the wealthy, as it is akin to a gift. However, if the beggar is poor and what his parents spend does not suffice his needs, it is permissible to give him from Zakat due to his poverty, and he may spend it on his needs, such as education or other necessities.
