Is it permissible to consider household furniture donated to an Islamic charity as a Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) or as part of Zakat al-Mal (charity on wealth)?

Donating surplus furniture to an Islamic charity as an endowment (waqf) for those in need is a good deed. However, it cannot be considered part of zakat (definition). Zakat is not to be paid from furniture or household items, unless they are trade goods. In that case, zakat is paid from the medium value of what zakat is due on.
