Is it permissible to give an ex-husband from zakat funds to support the children?

It is permissible to give to a poor man, even if he spends it on the questioner's children. However, if he is not poor, it is not permissible to give him from Zakat, but it is permissible to give him from voluntary charity in all circumstances.
