Is it permissible to give charity with the intention of helping a family, and with the intention of giving a charity that the husband commanded?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
If you give charity from money and your husband delegates you to give it as charity, then the reward is for your husband, and you receive the reward for assisting in righteousness. If you intend the charity to be on behalf of yourself and your husband, this is not permissible due to your lack of ownership of the money. We advise you to give charity from your own private money, continue with good deeds, and give your husband's money as charity to other needy people.
