Is purchasing medical equipment for a hospital considered an ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah)? Does its reward cease upon the expiration of the device's lifespan? And is it better to donate it or to contribute to building a mosque?

Purchasing a device to serve Muslims and dedicating it as an endowment (waqf) is considered an ongoing charity (sadaqah (definition) jariyah). However, contributing to the construction of a mosque is better, as it aids in the performance of prayer. For whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.
