How should a wife deal with her husband who is negligent in performing Salah (prayer) and Zakat (charity), and who is unemployed? Should she seek a divorce or be patient with him, especially given her fear that her children might take him as a role model?

Fajr prayer is obligatory, and abandoning it is a grave transgression. Zakat (definition) is obligatory on saved money if it reaches the nisab (definition) (threshold) and a full year has passed on it. The wife should be patient with her husband and advise him kindly, explaining to him the obligation of observing prayers on time and the virtue of Fajr prayer. She should also inform him about matters related to zakat on saved money. It is permissible for the wife to seek a divorce if she is harmed by her husband's lack of religiosity, but it is not advisable to rush into seeking a divorce until the wife has exhausted all possible means of reform, sought divine guidance (istikharah), and consulted wise people.
