The answer

is obligatory on various currencies if their value reaches the of gold (85 grams) or silver (595 grams), whether each type individually reaches it or their total combined value does, and it is not necessary to convert currencies to each other. Paper currencies take the place of gold and silver in the rulings of Zakat and other matters.
