The answer

al-Fitr requires an intention (), which is merely the resolve to perform the act, and its place is the heart. It is permissible to hasten Zakat al-Fitr, according to some scholars, two days before Eid al-Fitr. Some have permitted hastening it from the beginning of the month of , or from the beginning of the (lunar) year. Therefore, Zakat al-Fitr is sufficient, and there is no need to re-issue it. The amount you used to give each month is considered charity (), according to your intention. As for Zakat al-Mal (Zakat on wealth), it becomes obligatory when its conditions are met and requires intention at the time of its disbursement.
