What are the rulings and conditions of zakat concerning the wealth of someone who has reached seventeen years of age and on which a full year has passed?

Zakat (definition) is the third pillar of Islam, and it is obligatory on wealth that a Muslim does not use personally, such as money, trade goods, livestock, and agricultural produce, if it reaches the nisab (definition) and a year has passed over it, except for crops, on which Zakat is due at the time of harvest. As for wealth used personally, there is no Zakat on it. Zakat is given to eight categories of people, which Allah Almighty mentioned in the Quran. A Muslim must pay Zakat on time, learn its rulings, and inquire about it from trustworthy scholars.
