Is it permissible to delay giving the obligatory Zakat until next year due to difficulty in sending it to the needy in the homeland, who are more in need of it than those residing in the current country of residence?

Zakat (definition) is obligatory immediately, and it is not permissible to delay it without an excuse. However, some scholars have made an exception for the permissibility of a short delay for a need, especially in our era where sending money is easy. Therefore, it is not permissible to delay the payment of Zakat for a long period. If the waiting period is short, there is no objection; otherwise, it is obligatory to pay it immediately.
