Are Nostradamus's prophecies true, and is it permissible for a Muslim to look into them?

Future predictions, if based on reading reality and events, are not considered a claim to the unseen. However, if they are based on divination and astrology, they are false, for no one knows the unseen except Allah the Almighty. The practice of astrology and believing its practitioners is forbidden by the consensus of the Ummah. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever acquires knowledge from the stars has acquired a branch of magic." The Sharia (definition) has disproved divination of all kinds, including astrology, and has forbidden believing its practitioners.
