What is the ideal answer to a young girl's question: Are angels male? And is Allah, Most Glorified and Exalted, male?

Angels are created from light; they are not described as male or female. Whoever claims them to be female has disbelieved, and they are not to be called male, as there is no authentic text to support that. Angels are infallible from sins, facilitated for acts of obedience, and subjugated by Allah’s permission in the affairs of creation, safeguarding His servants, recording their deeds, and are entrusted with revelation. Part of belief in angels is to affirm their existence, that they are honored servants whom Allah created for His worship, that they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them, and they do what they are commanded, and they do not cease His worship.
