What is the reality of Shaqq and Sateeh, what is the reality of their descriptions, and are they from jinn or humans if their descriptions are true?

Shiqq and Satih were two pre-Islamic soothsayers who foretold the advent of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. They were human beings with strange physical characteristics; Satih had no limbs and his face was in his chest, while Shiqq was half a human. They used to tell of the unseen by receiving information from jinn who eavesdropped [on the heavens], not through their own intrinsic knowledge.
