It is advisable to disregard whispers [of doubt]. Inner monologues concerning an oath are of no consequence, and whoever doubts having sworn an oath, the default assumption is that they have not. The majority of jurists stipulate that an oath must be uttered verbally; inner speech is not sufficient. As for swearing not to look at a certain part of the body, it necessitates breaking the oath (al-Hinth) and expiation () if the looking actually occurred and was intentional. A Muslim is not permitted to supplicate against himself except for good. If one has supplicated against himself, he can resort to Allah Almighty and engage in abundant supplication so that Allah may avert evil from him, for indeed, supplication repels divine decree.
