Is my approach correct in applying for another job after seeking Allah's guidance through Istikhara, given my suffering from envy and the misconduct of colleagues in my current workplace due to my uprightness?
The questioner is urged to praise and thank Allah for steadfastness and patience, and is advised to consistently recite the prescribed supplications and divine protections morning and evening and upon leaving the home, as mentioned in the of the Two Protectors (Mu'awwidhatayn) and the hadith about leaving the home. It is mentioned that transitioning to a better job after performing (prayer for guidance) is good and permissible. It is also advised to ease one's mind and believe in divine decree, that what Allah wills cannot be overturned, and that responding to evil with good is more likely to make them cease their wrongdoing.
