Is the statement, "Whatever good I have done, if it is correct, it is from Allah, and if it is wrong, it is from Satan," correct or incorrect?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
It is permissible to say: "If it is correct, it is from Allah, and if it is wrong, it is from me and from Satan," due to the Almighty's saying: "Whatever good befalls you is from Allah, and whatever evil befalls you is from yourself," and due to the actions of Abu Bakr and Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with them.
